This is one of our favorite quick and easy meals on nights that I am trying to wrap presents or make favorite Christmas treats like this or this or this and don’t really want to take the time to make dinner.
I thought it was a good one to post this month, since most of us are a little BUSY this time of year. If you are like me, you will appreciate this simple dinner recipe…or should I say dinner idea!
Meatball Marinara Sandwich
submitted by Melanie
You simply need:
A bag of your favorite crusty rolls
A bottle of your favorite Marinara sauce or make your own
Sliced Provolone Cheese
Frozen Italian Meatballs ( sometimes I cut them in half–much less likely to “pop out” of the sandwich for the boys)
Pour the sauce over as many meatballs as you like. Heat the meatballs in the microwave or stove according to the directions on the package.
Split the rolls, lay a slice of Provolone cheese on. Toast under the broiler.
Assemble and serve with a some fresh fruit and carrot sticks! At least that it what I do. My family loves this dinner and I love that it is so quick and easy!
