Super Bowl Sweet Treats

by Melanie on February 5, 2011

As you know we have already offered some our favorite Superbowl appetizers here, but a superbowl party would not be complete without some sweet treats too! Here are a few of our favorites:

First up: I want to give a shout out for Natural Vines licorice from the makers of Red Vines. One of our readers sent us each a bag of the strawberry and black to sample and we all LOVED it!! Now my family loves all licorice, but I loved that this brand is made with only natural ingredients. No high fructose corn syrup, trans fats or other ingredients that worry me. On the other hand my sister Brittany’s husband is very loyal to a Kookabura brand and he actually liked these better! They are seriously good and much healthier than the regular licorice–yum! Go here to find a bag near you!

Next up: Mom’s Peanut Blossoms

These are always a huge hit and fun to make too! Lots of other cookies here.

How about BROWNIES?

If you have a big football watching crowd go for Brownies for a crowd
For a smaller group
Perfect One Bowl Brownies
or ditch the classics and go for something special with
Deadly Caramel Brownies

Do you have some peanut butter fans?

Peanut Butter Fudge Bars are a favorite at my house.

Brittany’s peanut butter frosted bars here

Popcorn is next:

There are several great popcorn dessert recipes like White Chocolate Popcorn, Mom’s Famous Caramel Corn and Quick and Easy Caramel Popcorn all right here.

Another game day favorite is Cinnamon Roasted Nuts

These will make your house smell amazing, but watch out–these little almonds are very addicting:)

Hope these ideas get you started! You can find lots of other goodies here and here. Yes, we sisters all have a BIG sweet tooth!

Have a happy football watchin’ weekend!
