Amazing Flatbread with Rhodes Bread Dough and a Giveaway

by Melanie on July 13, 2011

Today I am guest posting over at Rhodes Bread Blog.  I am sharing a recipe for Creamy Zucchini and Herb Flatbread.  This recipe is a favorite at our house in the summer when zucchini and fresh herbs are plentiful.  Pair this with some fresh fruit and a crisp green salad and you have a perfect family dinner in minutes!  Using Rhodes frozen bread dough in this recipe, not only saves you time (who wants to be in the kitchen when the sun is shining:) it also makes a perfectly soft and chewy base for the delicious toppings.
I can’t say enough about his flatbread!  Serious goodness!
Thank you Rhodes for making it so easy!
Go here for the recipe.
And we would like to giveaway a copy of their new cookbook “Home Baked Family Favorites
It is a fabulous cookbook full of 170 photograped recipes!

I just picked my first yellow and green squash today and was looking for some new ideas on how to cook them. This looks so good. I will be making the Dutch oven caramel apple pie next week for a demonstration on dutch oven cooking for the ladies at church. Thanks for all of your wonderful ideas.

I LOVE the Butterscotch Bubbleloaf. For years I have made homemade bread on a weekly basis. I wouldn’t lower my standards to anything less. OH how pride has cost me many precious hours. Rhodes is such a blessing to have available.

I’ve been a FB fan of Rhodes Doughs for some time now.

The recipes on their site I want to try are: Cherry & Cream Cheese Pie
Dutch Oven Caramel Apple Pie, & Creamy Zucchini & Herb Flatbread (I’ll use both zucchini & yellow squash on mine)

Thanks for sharing the recipe & for the cookbook giveaway! Look forward to winning a cookbook. ;-)

I almost forgot about the first part of the cookbook giveaway. You wrote, “To enter visit the Rhodes site and tell us what recipe sounds good to you then leave a comment on this post.” Am I supposed to only write about ONE recipe?! There were several that I thought looked interesting: Of course the Creamy Zucchini and Herb Flatbread, but also the Blueberry Cream Cheese Crumb Cake, Cherry and Cream Cheese Pie, Toffee Apple Tart looked good.
