Tate’s Bakeshop Giveaway

by Brittany on October 26, 2011

Today I get to tell you about a fantastic new cookie I tried recently from Tate’s Bake Shop: their newest cookie, the Whole Wheat Dark Chocolate Chip.  And boy is it delicious!  These cookies are for all you crunchy-cookie fans out there.  They are thin and crispy with a wonderful buttery taste that had me reaching into the bag for just one more, about a dozen times!  (Which of course was completely ok since they are made with whole wheat and everyone knows that dark chocolate is good for you too!  hee hee!)  These sweet little gems  won GOLD in the Cookie category in the 2011 sofi™ Awards, presented at the Fancy Food Show in Washington, DC.  With that in mind, we thought you all had better try them out too.  Baking is a ton of fun (as I’m sure you’d agree, otherwise you wouldn’t be on our website)!  But when the holidays roll around it’s great to have some packaged baked goods on hand for serving to guests or giving out as gifts.  These cookies will be just the thing, especially since they come in a darling little bag all ready to give away!

In honor of National Cookie Month, Tate’s Bake Shop is giving out 3 bags of the Whole Wheat Dark Chocolate Chip cookies and a signed copy of Kathleen King’s cookbook, The Tate’s Bake Shop Cookbook, to one lucky winner of a giveaway here on The Sister’s Cafe!  In addition, they are giving all our readers a special discount of 15% off any order at their e-bakery http://tatesbakeshop.com/.   Just use the code COOKIE at checkout – it’s good through October 31st.

To enter, leave us a comment sharing what your favorite holiday cookie recipe is and why!  For those of you who like to increase your odds, like them on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/TatesBakeShop) or follow them on twitter (http://twitter.com/%22%20%5Cl%20%22!/TatesBakeShop).  GOOD LUCK!!

My favorite cookie at this time ( it changes regularly) is a pecan, coconut, oatmeal cookie with a glass of milk, and if I’m eating them for breakfast (oatmeal you know) it a cup of Hot Coco.

The cookies I always make for cookie exchanges around the holidays are the peanut butter ones that you cook in mini muffin pans and then put a miniature reese’s peanut butter cup in the middle as soon as they come out of the oven. I think they are called peanut butter temptations.

I was excited to see Tate’s Cookies featured….they are so yummy. My friend Nancy, yep another NANCY, makes an awesome Ina Garten recipe using Tate’s Chocolate Chips & chocolate whipped cream. It’s in Ina’s newest cook book.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a new cookbook!
