When my friends and I got together for a luncheon a few months ago, our friend, Annie Christensen, made these delicious Ham & Havarti paninis for everyone. They were so yummy! We all thought they were fantastic. Annie buys her Havarti and sourdough bread at Costco and stores extra loaves in the freezer so she’s never without. :) Try pairing these sandwiches with a warm soup for a delicious meal.

Layer the sandwich with quantities according to your preference: bread, cheese, a thick layer of ham, cheese, bread. Butter the outside of the sandwich. Heat in a Panini press or an indoor electric grill.
*To make ahead: You can assemble the sandwiches and then place them back into the bread bag and keep in the refrigerator until you wish to serve them, at which point you can put them straight onto the Panini press.
